A brand new staff of attorneys have been assembled to prosecute the YNW Melly double-murder retrial and considered one of them was on the authorized staff that obtained XXXTentacion‘s killer’s sentenced.
New Group of Prosecutors Assembled for YNW Melly Retrial
On Tuesday (Oct. 17), the Miami Herald reported Alixandra Buckelew has been added to the trio of prosecutors who will attempt to get a conviction within the YNW Melly double-murder case after the primary one ended in a mistrial in July. Buckelew helped prosecute Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome for his or her roles within the XXXTentacion homicide. The trio was sentenced to life in prison again in April. Buckelew’s addition comes on the heels of Broward County Assistant State Lawyer Kristine Bradley being faraway from the case on Oct. 13.

One other Tie to the XXXTentacion Case
The YNW Melly double-murder retrial has one other frequent issue with the XXXTentacion case. Robert Allen, the cooperating witness in the XXXTentacion case, has been added as a possible witness within the YNW Melly case. It’s unclear what data Allen must provide to the Melly case.
YNW Melly goes into his new trial, the place he’s accused of killing his two associates in 2018, with a further cost. Earlier this month, he was charged with witness tampering, with police accusing him of conspiring to maintain his ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton from testifying within the first trial. Jury choice within the YNW Melly retrial is scheduled to start on Wednesday (Oct. 18).
