Drake and Jermaine Dupri are becoming a member of forces to make a documentary about Atlanta’s well-known Magic Metropolis strip membership.
Drake joins the manufacturing via his DreamCrew Leisure, with Government Producers Adel “Future” Nur and Peter Nelson. Dupri joins with music government Michael Mauldin as Government Producer, and manufacturing firm Scheme Engine. The three half docu-series will uncover the story behind the well-known strip membership and its decades-long affect on hip-hop.
Magic Metropolis served because the place the place many artists might break new information and introduce their sound to an elite viewers. Many high-profile rappers would drop the membership’s title in songs and shoot movies on the location.
Directed by Charles Todd, the collection titled “Magic Metropolis: An American Fantasy,” will characteristic interviews with notable figures comparable to 2 Chainz, Nelly, Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike, and Large Boi.

“The interior workings of Magic Metropolis and its prevalence in hip-hop are remarkably mysterious – it’s a marvel the story has but to be informed,” says Jami Gertz, Government Producer, actress, and Atlanta Hawks workforce co-owner. “Atlanta is my adopted residence and a spot I’m wanting ahead to celebrating via this story.”
With unique entry from Mr. Magic, the collection options unique celeb interviews with hard-to-believe anecdotes, never-before-seen archival footage and impressionistic imagery impressed by first-hand accounts of a “evening at Magic Metropolis.”
