Tierra Whack and her meteoric rise to Hip-Hop fame and all that got here after it takes centerstage in Andscape’s new documentary Cypher, coming to Hulu.
Taking house the 2023 Tribeca Competition’s Founders Award for Greatest U.S. Narrative Function, Cypher now has a launch date and a trailer.
The documentary follows Tierra Whack’s rise to stardom after movies she shared of herself on the age of 15 rapping on the streets of Philadelphia on her YouTube page started to garner ridiculous numbers.
Whack’s rise put her on the radar of Emmy award-nominated director Chris Moukarbel, who determined to doc her rising profession, filming the entire behind-the-scenes moments throughout her live shows and music movies whereas including commentary from the “Unemployed” crafter.
Within the trailer, Whack talks about her fame, noting, “I feel generally I simply can’t imagine that is all occurring for me.”
The documentary additionally talks concerning the draw back that comes with fame, notably the conspiracy theories and the thought of popular culture being a “type of thoughts management.”
