Neneh Cherry has introduced a memoir titled A Thousand Threads, due October eighth, 2024 by way of Simon & Schuster imprint Scribner (pre-orders are now ongoing).
Overlaying the lifetime of the “Buffalo Stance” singer from her childhood via her punk years, world success, woes, and extra, A Thousand Threads will likely be “deeply private.” In accordance with its press launch, the e book will contact on “the highs and lows, the friendships and loves, and the addictions and traumas which have formed [Cherry] as a lady and an artist.”

Born in Sweden, Cherry moved to the UK in her teen years and joined punk teams like The Slits, Rip Rig and Panic, and others. After going solo within the ‘80s, she shared the acclaimed album Raw Like Sushi, which included the hit “Buffalo Stance.”
In recent times, Cherry collaborated with The Avalanches and was sampled on the remix album for Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia. Her newest album, The Versions, arrived in 2022 with a tracklist together with Robyn and Mapei’s take on “Buffalo Stance,” in addition to options Sia, Jamila Woods, and extra.
